Sequel publishes observatories and surveys based on systematically collected data: visibility boards, measurements of AI assistant answers, market analyses. This page explains how we work, under which principles, and how to report an error. It applies to every data-driven piece published on this site.
Why we measure
Sequel observatories exist to document, with verifiable data, how visibility is distributed across search engines and AI answers. The goal is understanding phenomena, not judging individuals: we describe systems and incentives, in aggregate form, and results are published so the market can discuss them.
How we survey
Every observatory declares on its own page the essential parameters of the survey: what is measured, how often, on which platforms and with which date. Surveys run with fixed, repeatable parameters, defined before launch and kept stable over time, so that historical series remain comparable. Published data is aggregated; raw series are preserved and never rewritten after the fact.
Independence
Sequel is excluded from its own surveys by design: if one of our pages or services fell within the measured perimeter, it would be removed from the count. We accept no payments, placements or commercial agreements that influence positions, mentions or survey outcomes. Client consulting engagements are kept separate from public observatories.
Editorial principles
In observatory content we do not pass judgment on individual people or companies: we report observable data and aggregate patterns. External sources are always attributed. Content carries its survey date and is updated at the same address, with visible history, rather than multiplying similar pages.
Reports and corrections
Anyone who believes a published figure is inaccurate, or wants to offer a different reading of our analysis, can write to [email protected]. We reply within 5 working days. If a review confirms an error, we correct the page and account for the correction with a visible, dated note. Corrections are never silent.
